Tudor 390 Part needed
Well folks- Despite all warnings about the Tudor 390, I recently acquired this beauty- a 1956 Tudor Tuxedo with a vintage Tessuflex strap. Gorgeous. However.... The automatic mechanism is not functioning and I am in need of a Barrel Bridge in decent condition! If anyone knows where I can possibly find such a gem, please advise (apart from eBay, which I scour daily). THANKS ALL! |

What color movement?
I would recommend you find an inexpensive donor movement to be safe.

They came in Rhodium (silver), Brass, and Pink. It just doesn't make sense from me to break up a spare movement to source the part. While your finding an entire movement would be better. But confirm the movement color and I will see if there is anything.

Gotcha!
Thanks so much for your reply and thoughts. Here are pics of the movement from the seller. It appears to be brass. The watch is currently at my watch repair guys and I can check with them tomorrow to confirm. |

This is quite a dilemma as parts for the 390 are hard to find and its pointless sacrificing another donor watch for this watch (I get it if you were trying to find parts for the tudor submariner)
Hopefully J can help you. |

I will need to see what I have to see if it makes worth while. It does not make sense for me to break apart a movement but I may see if I have a spare, spare movement

You need a barrel bridge or a rotor bridge? What is wrong with your barrel bridge?
I've got 2 in Rhodium. |

Thanks again. Barrel Bridge needed. At least that's what my repair guys tell me. The automatic winding mechanism does not function and this seems to be the culprit!

If he is going to find the parts, then let him go at it. However, if your watchmaker is leaving the parts hunting and acquisition up to you, you might try to find a complete autowinding mechanism if you can. Otherwise, he replaces the barrel bridge, and "oops, it still doesn't work well, we need to replace another part."
