Wear on Jewels
Do the jewels on an older vintage watch ever need to be replaced? What type of jewels are used by Rolex in the 1570 movement watches?

Yes, I had some replaced in my 5513 not to long ago...The jewels are synthetic.

I do not know the price of the jewel, but coupled with what else was replaced, the entire service cost about $750. I can not imagine the jewels cost much.
