AD Got robbed today.

So my AD, in Little Rock Arkansas got hit by a smash and grab crew today. Not sure what they got away with, but they were open with customers inside at the time.

The name of this jeweler speaks volumes as to why Rolex is going the boutique route. Who is their right mind names their high-end jewelry store "Sissy's Log Cabin"?!?

Regional dialect differences- in the South, it doesn’t sound as ridiculous.

I live in the South, and I still think it sounds very country bumpkin and ridiculous. I’ve never been to it, but I have a colleague who was told at the one in Memphis supposedly they would sell him a watch for close to grey market value, brand new, so I’ve gotten a shady impression of them.

That being said, they don’t deserve this!

See, I thought the same… but it was the “Log Cabin” part that seemed out of place for a Rolex AD .

Nothing on the news about it when I Googled it. Interested to hear more, although very unfortunate.

Those have dummy movements. My AD showed me by winding the crown. All tree hands (min, sec,hr) move in unison which makes it easy to change back to the Rolex trademark hand positions

Not all ADs and exhibition watches have dummy movements. Many have actual movements time not set to 10:10. Supposedly they shipped without warranty cards. Also some ADs have real watches but are displayed for a period of time.

Only someone who has been to Sissy’s and noticed lately would be able to tell.

Agreed. I have never seen an "exhibition watch" in an AD's case which was not a real functioning Rolex. The dummies I saw were the new 2022 release models which circulated the US at select ADs. The ADs just had these for a day or two for an event/showing and then they were shipped on to another AD.

Interesting as understood that is not the case with every display only piece.

There are only four AD’s in Arkansas, Sissy’s Log Cabin is half of them with locations in Little Rock and Jonesboro.
