Cartier

Can’t stomach that unbalanced dial on the DJ. Different dial, different decision...

Also fits her better

I don’t like the ballon bleu.

Neither does my wife. She picked a DJ in 36mm.

My wife bought that same Ballon Bleu but with diamond bezel this past summer. She loves it and is hard on her watches. It’s held up well. Hasn’t taken it off since, and swam and showered with it too. She’s used to her Rolex being bomb proof and is wearing this the same way.

I had a Wimbledon dial and thought it looked much better in pics or up close. On the wrist it was too dark for me and looked like a grey blur from a few feet away.

I’m not a fan of the Wimbledon dials but I do prefer the aesthetics of the Datejust. The “thing” at 3 o’clock on the Cartier is ugly to me.

Both look great on her IMO, but it depends on her personality…
The Cartier is more elegant.
The Wimbledon is more sport/dress combo.
Which side does she lean toward the most?

Then I would say Wimbledon since it has more flexibility for wearing on any occasion and obviously has better upgrade/resale flexibility over a small Cartier.

Cartier looks great on ladies wrist. Do a poll and get the numbers.

Cartier, the rolex is far too big and masculine in that configuration.

Datejust 31 in whatever dial she wants, assuming that is a DJ36.

Would have been a more interesting and closer comparison if you’d been offered the 36mm dj white dial, romans, smooth bezel, Jubilee. Love that configuration.

Also love the Cartier Tank but not that one I’m afraid.

Wimbledon by a long way between those two.

I think the Cartier looks better on her wrist. Can't go wrong with either....
