What is the point of this post? I don't understand what you are saying. My AD has been putting a lot of professional models on display; they are called Exhibition Models.

The AD closest to me had actual working watches on display but not for sale. So OP statement could really go either way. |

My AD has had sports watches on display for forever.. you can’t buy anything though. Daytona’s, GMT’s everything. No change in my opinion

Display for sale or for exhibition only, you need to be clear.

The SA at AD are going through the waiting lists much faster than a year ago and they need to call much more people before they sell them a Datejust or a Sub.
Eventually they will run out of the names to call as 99% of those on the lists are flippers who are vanishing as we speak now that they have realized there are no more grey dealers next door who will pay them $18K for a Pepsi .. |

Time for you to wake up as well and get out of the Underground .. Try offering a BLRO to a grey dealer and tell me how that goes .. Out of 10, half will ignore, 3 will low ball you and 2 will only accept the consignment .. Not much of a flipping potential anymore ..

The secondary market has a big glut of watches they still need to sell. Not saying they will sell them cheap but they are definitely not buying from people for nearly as much as they used to be. Now, if buyers would stop paying these prices then we would see a big decline in price. People blame flippers but the people who pay over MSRP are really who keep these high prices going. I mean I totally get it so not criticizing people who want what they want. The AD games get annoying. |

Anyway, GMT are depreciating at around £1000 per month at the moment. You could get a really smart car for that sort of money. A serious loss for anyone, especially for a grey dealer holding a lot of stock. |

i experienced exaltly the same. They will try to keep the game going for a while, but exp II, Sea-Dwellers are no longer all spoken for, and sometime actually for sale even though they sit in cases as "display only" But of course they will try to sell you a PM, or orther less in demand pieces first. And if they have doubt about you flipping it, they will let it sit a bit longer. They are also starting to take names for a SS Sub from unknown custormers, so for sure it´s loosing up, even though it´s of cource different from AD to AD. Some AD´s still have more demand than supply. You will already be able to get more or less all PM models within 6 month, with exeption of a few special dial models. |

That's about 2 years worth of production. I'd say 2 years worth of production being sat on by speculators is a problem for supply to people who just want to wear a nice watch. |

Rubber meets the road after the new year, then we’ll see.
