Rolex

I bought a new Rolex with warranty, how can you tell if it is 100 percent genuine even though it was sold in a luxury store and I have receipts for the watch and warranty

Did you buy from a reputable Rolex Dealer?

If you are not sure, only taking it apart by a Rolex Watchmaker can ensure it is "100% authentic.

Most any decent watchmaker could tell you if it is likely to be authentic

The short, the only way is to take it to a Rolex Service Center (RSC) or a trusted independent watch maker and remove the back for inspection. However, if it were purchased from a Rolex Authorized Dealer (AD), and it had the stickers, then you can have a high level of assurance it's 100% legit and new.

Even with the warranty card, it could have been purchased and subsequently returned "in new condition" and the warranty card may not have been filled out yet. Some AD's hold onto the card as a means of minimizing flipping.

Again, the best rule is to trust the seller overall everything!

Not sure I understand your post. Only an AD can sell you a new Rolex with warranty in your name. That watch is authentic. If you bought a used watch which is what it sounds like you did, there is no way to know what you have. By "buying the seller" you get piece of mind in the used watch market that they will make good on the watch, if the watch they sold you turns out to be a fake or stolen whenever that is discovered. Now that you own this watch have it looked by a competent professional to confirm it is authentic, if you have concerns.

Is the store you bought from listed on Rolex.com's store locator list?

You already bought it and now you want to check if it’s genuine?

You'll need to verify if the store is fake or genuine. Were the chairs green? Uniform black? Did they greet you with "No stock for you!" at first?

Why buy something from somewhere if you're left questioning it's authenticity?

If you bought it new from an authorised Rolex dealer (shown on the Rolex.com website) then it's fine. Photo looks ok, but it's not clear enough to be sure.

I bought a manufacturer's warranty at a heritage store. Why do you think it's fake? According to what you say it's fake, explain?

You cant buy a "manufacturers warranty" for Rolex, by the way.

That right there.

Something is wrong with the paperwork, probably the watch and possibly the OP.

Looks ok to to me but I would need better pix of the case, bracelet etc.

Do you have a pix of the movement?

Welcome to the forum.

In future, check first, then buy.

If you want members to weigh in, you need to post more and better pictures.

You need to stop posting this watch multiple times all over the forums here and just follow this single thread. Otherwise I'm just going to delete everything and remove your account.

Showing the store receipt and warranty card that came with the watch would be helpful.
