Got offer Day-Date President 40MM & 36MM - Take / Pass

Hi, I walked into one of Rolex's stores in EUROPE, and they have this 2 DAYDATE to offer.

Is it hard to get or so so, and as far as investment, is this good?
I'm getting 14% tax back as well..

OYSTER PERPETUAL DAY-DATE 40 IN 18 CT WHITE GOLD WITH A BRIGHT BLUE DIAL, DIAMOND-SET BEZEL, AND A PRESIDENT BRACELET.
MODEL: m228349rbr-0005

PRICE: 40MM is $50000 USD FINAL - after tax back and everything

DAY-DATE 36 IN 18 CT WHITE GOLD, WITH A WHITE MOTHER-OF-PEARL, DIAMOND-SET DIAL, DIAMOND-SET BEZEL AND A PRESIDENT BRACELET.
MODEL: m128349rbr-0004

PRICE: 36MM is $47500 - FINAL - after tax back and everything

ADVISE will be appreciated,

BUY or PASS both?

I would advise only buying watches that you like. Not a great investment really.

I agree with you guys but I want to buy something that I can pass it to my kids and still hold value

will this be better than a regular Rolex-like day-date?

of course, can't compare to Daytona

The best thing you can pass to your kids, are great morals and personal values.

Skip the diamonds. Best value retention is in steel TBH.

Well thought that was all down to your own common sense, either you want to own one of these watches to wear and enjoy, if not then pass what could be simpler. I know its hard today to think for yourself but try hard and use your own brain power thats the only opinion that matters, and forget all this investment stuff.

Watches are not investments. Only buy what you love and what you will wear.

Buy what you like. Don't buy what you don't like. If you have to ask, you don't like either of them.

Buy both only if they can throw in a SS Daytona into the mix.

Good idea... Let them know and see they can do this not will you still get it or just pass on both

I know might sound wierd but I'm not Rolex expert and just want to make sure if I spend this much
It's worth it

Love the watch

Not for me because I’m not a fan of diamonds on a watch, and I also am not in a position to drop $100k on watches.

But if you like it and can afford it, why not?

i think it would be cheaper to buy a daytona on the grey market today. i figure you lose at least 10k on both if you try to flip them after

Good investment…..no.
You want a good investment….seek your, or a, financial advisor.
These watches aren’t rare enough to see any true investment type return. Will a Rolex hold value better than most….absolutely.
A DD with diamond bezel….ehhh, maybe.
Will your kids like diamond bezels and PM DD….??
Do you like diamond bezel….?
Do you like a 40 or 36mm DD….?

If you like one of them to wear, and it’ll provide you happiness and satisfaction, then you should do it. That’s the investment that counts.

As many have said, forget the investment part of it.

And for something to hand down to your kids, I say get what YOU like. Your children will be more elated to get something that holds memories and significance in their father's life than care what the configuration is.

Invest your money elsewhere. Watches are luxury items to be worn and enjoyed. Only buy what you like. If money is a factor pass and buy a cheaper watch.

I have the white gold bright blue dial and I absolutely love it….but for its beauty and wearability. If I’m looking for an investment, I’d be putting that $50,000 elsewhere.
