Scammer claiming to be me - mbbgysam
A sophisticated scammer created a fake gmail account with my username ([email protected]) and reached out to at least one person I've sold to in the past with the email below. This email address does NOT belong to me, nor does the phone number in the email.

I guess there is nothing for the Mods to act upon since he doesn’t have control of your TRF account itself.
The heads-up is the only way to handle this. Can you elaborate a bit? The buyer’s reference in Who’s Who for you would have allowed the scammer to know a deal was done between you two. But how the scammer got your buyer’s email addy to send him this scam is puzzling. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Unfortunately the buyer's email address is the same as his TRF username, so the scammer probably just guessed it. I also sent a warning PM to each TRF member I've transacted with in the past... keeping my fingers crossed that the scammer won't be successful! |
