An unexpected but very welcome text from my AD just in time for Christmas!
 Mentioned this model to my SA when we put my name down for my Submariner. Was told it wasn’t likely to happen given the high demand and my limited spend which wasn’t much of a surprise. At the start of this year I reiterated my interest, but actually started browsing 16710s as I wasn’t getting any positive signs from the AD. Fast forward to this week - I got a text out of the blue and jumped on it!  Fantastic watch, pleasure to wear, surely one of the best models from Rolex. Might look to add a jubilee later on as the polished oyster is a scratch/fingerprint magnet and it would help to differentiate from the sub. The BLRO joins my sub and speedmasters as a special occasion piece.. at least until the polished surfaces are less pristine.  Cheers

Sure thing, it looks stunning on both but there is a bit more weight with it on the oyster so I have to wear it a little more snug for it to stay in place and not have to keep messing with it. With the jubilee it really is you put it on and forget about it it’s just so comfortable.
