78790A SEL bracelet on 16710 T serial?

Hello,

Recently bought a GMT 16710 which came on a submariner bracelet, looking to replace it with the correct bracelet. I realize it would have came with non SEL bracelet but I found a nice 78790A bracelet and SELs would be nice. Just wanted to check on compatibly, would it fit okay?

Thanks,

Yes it will work. You will have the best of both worlds with a holes case and SEL.

Would also love to get a jubilee bracelet for it. Can anyone please share what options I have? I can’t seem to funds brushed bracelet for it. I tried one from a Datejust with 555 end links didn’t fit.

This would be a hollow link jubilee 62510 with 502B or 502T endlinks (both work for your drilled holes case) and a "50" stamp inside the link next to the endlink. Or a supper jubilee 63200/63600 (same thing with different number of removable links) with hidden clasp (endlinks are fixed on this one).

Thanks,

If your 16710 doesn’t have the machines lip on the underside of the case the SEL will not fit properly. Also, the submariner bracelet 93150 with 501b end pieces could have been the original equipment since it was a optional combo.

Thanks, I wish I read this before buying the bracelet. I guess I am happy to have SELs now. Is this what you mean with the machined lip? Seems to fit fine.

If we are going to use my pictures, here is a comparison from the same article.

Non-machined case on the left and machined case on the right.
