Icon19 Incoming...My First

So…

As maybe you can see I am relatively new to this forum and equally as new to world of Rolex, in fact as I type I don’t own a Rolex… But I got the call.

Tomorrow I shall collect my first, a DateJust 36, Jubilee, Fluted, Wimbledon (I think I covered all the key specs here). I have slim wrists so the 36 is a great starting watch for me.

My AD has been great, it’s only been a month. Initially I asked for DJ36 in Blue or Green, but was open minded. He let me know he has the Wimbledon reserved for me to view and purchase if I wish, no pressure. I am sure I will take it having seen it in a window before.

Does anyone have any tips or questions I should ask or watch out for on collection?

Some photos to follow after collection.

An early congrats! Beautiful piece and an excellent choice. I love the Wimbledon dial, and it being on Jubilee with fluted bezel would be my preferences as well. Looking forward to your incoming pics!

As for tips....When you go to pick it up, make sure you ask for the little white hang tag with the serial number of your watch printed on it. Also, the outer sleeve that covers the outer box. That is if you care at all about these items. I've heard that sometimes AD's just throw those items away, but will give them to you if you ask for them. I just think it's kinda nice to have everything.

Oh, and in case you didn't know....Rolex puts out a magazine as well. Ask your SA for a copy if you don't already have one. Very interesting reading for any Rolex enthusiast!

Yes my first. I do have some experience as my dad has owned Patek, JLC and Tudor etc. But it’s a new journey for me.

I’m already thinking of my next one… is that bad?
On a serious note, was a great experience and I plan to enjoy this watch and wear it well.

Congrats! Beautiful watch!

No tips for collection if buying from an Authorized Dealer. Just enjoy the process.
