Skydweller 326939 question?

Hi knowledgeable members.
Have seen a white gold Roman numeral skydweller for sale, it’s listed as new condition and pictures all look good and all in order. I have done lots of research on seller and have spoken on phone, companies house check and all above board.
My only query is how would it have a new style card with model and serial number on it when that model was discontinued in 2018 ?
I understand it has been sat in safe for some time, but surely when the watch was sent to the AD it came with the card, which was older style.
Thank you for taking the time to read and hope this makes sense!!
It’s a serious purchase and would appreciate your thoughts.

I had a few of the old roman skydwellers a long time ago. Pretty sure they all had the old style cards, but it's been so long it's hard to remember.

Two things can happen.

1.It was distributed to a AD later, and they come with time period corect card. I seen this alot on the two tone GMT with green hand a few years ago.

2. Some how card got lost in shipment... (very highly unlikely).

These cards appeared in 2020. Maybe late 2019 at the earliest. If the watch was delivered to the AD in 2018 or earlier it is difficult to explain. Does the seller have something to say about this?

I would be wary without a convincing explanation. I might end up missing out on a perfectly good watch but if there is a doubt there is no doubt. Another one will be along.

Thanks for reply Harry, yes seller says
he got it from AD just before losing Rolex. He didn’t know anything about the new card. All I can think is the AD lost the original card and Rolex issued a new one.
However you’re probably right about doubt, plus I think they are probably still going to come down a little .Cheers

if it's a well-vetted and trusted seller, i wouldn't be too concerned about the warranty card. especially on a watch that hasn't been produced since 2018. warranty will expire soon anyway, if it hasn't already.
