Wait times?
Good afternoon everyone,
I'm looking to purchase my first AP and i've been looking into the 15510ST blue dial. I'm going this weekend to try to get on the list for it. Are the wait times for still a few years? |

sorry not going to happen and I don't even think you can try them on at the boutique - you will have to find a grey dealer.

That was my concern. I'm not in a rush for it at all so I was hoping at least in the next year or 2, I would have it but if its a longer wait, grey market would be better.

You are really really going to struggle getting that as a first watch.
I know of people who are still waiting for a then 15500 now 15510 after purchasing other models such as divers and Royal Oak Offshores. Patience is needed but a truck loads of luck will also be needed |

It really can't be predicted. One might get lucky and it's a few months or otherwise 2 years and counting. Best wishes though.

Wait times?
Anything can happen but chances is not high to get a blue 15510 as your very first watch. Especially not without a significant wait. To make it easier it’s like going to a brand new Rolex AD and ask for a Pepsi as your very first watch without any purchase history.

If you are a celebrity or an executive from a reputable company, there’s a good chance. Otherwise, buy an offshore or code first. Or go gray

There have been a few recent examples of people getting blue (or green) dial ROs as 2nd or 3rd AP after some wait, but there are many more with similar purchase history that are still waiting. As first watch, that would require some extraordinary circumstances (being a celebrity or prominent member of the local community, introduction from a major collector, expectation of extravagant spending in the future or just being amazingly charming and good-looking). Simply "waiting" is not going to do it, there is no waitlist in a literal sense.

I visited my boutique in Prague and they were great. The SA told me you can't get the blue or green dial 15510ST as a first watch, although white and grey dials you can after a year or two.
I was genuinely interested in a chronograph 11.59, which I was offered the next day. Holding out for the 15510ST though. Good luck! |

I’m an example of one of those guys who had been incredibly lucky to be offered one rather quickly.
i first asked for a ROO and received it in about 4-5 months. I was then offered a ROC 50th anniversary when i had initially just scheduled an appointment to go try on some RO’s understanding they had none available for sale. I then mentioned I was interested in a RO knowing full well that the waitlist was very long and my SA confirmed she couldn’t provide a timeline. I reached out again 5 Jan just to let her know once a quarter or so that I was interested and was with the same response. Then 3 weeks later I was offered a Blue dial 15510. I’ll agree with others that a blue 15510 could be difficult to start with and while I didn’t buy the others with this in mind, I think much of it really comes down to having an SA who looks out for you. The other big factor I truly believe matters is the volume of clients looking for watches in the area. While I would expect Tokyo to have a fair few, I was offered 3 10 months which was within about 15 months of registering interest. Be polite, understanding of the waitlists and you may be lucky. |

Always a small chance but very low.
I’ve referred a couple close friends and they’ve struggled to get that as their first (green / blue) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thank you all for the replies! I'll definitely try the grey dial or an offshore. I wouldn't have thought buying an offshore would be easier than the 15510 blue dial. Crazy!
