Anyone know if....
There has ever been a real "leak" from a "credible source" as it relates to new Rolex releases? I know a few predictions out of hundreds or thousands have come true, but I dont think there has ever been a leak. (FYI, I go back to the 2007/2008 range on this Forum)

You used to be able to mess with model numbers in the URL of Rolexes website until you hit the right number on existing models that were getting an upgrade, but I believe Rolex has since patched this a year or so ago.

There's one member who's been pretty accurate. If I remember correctly, he posted about the VTNR months before it was announced

His username is Supercarita on TRF. He knew exactly what was coming out in 2022. Right up to the serial number for the 126720VTNR and the exact engraving on the back of the new DSSD 50mm. That’s real insider info. A lot of us were sort of sceptical right until the teaser released by W&W a week before the actual release.

David SW had the entire set of new releases a day or so prior a few years back.

Not a leak, but last year someone here on TRF found a link to WaW url that had the 'file tree' of everything. From there it was easy to remove the 'extra' data and thus everything from every manufacturer was 'leaked' a day or two before the event.

I want to say it was 2019 when “someone” got access to new Rolex catalog style photos a week or so before Basel. They were copied all over IG and here and many said they were fake. They weren’t.
Rolex themselves will release a teaser of at least one new model a few days before W&W. |
