Incoming Vacheron Constantin

When I was in college, I think the most expensive/nicest watch I bought was about $200 as it was the most I could afford. While I still love those watches, I always hoped to be able to upgrade over time.

This watch was released then, and I remember telling myself I’d buy it someday. Well, that day ended up being yesterday at the NYC flagship VC boutique.

After many glasses of Macallan 15, a walkthrough of multiple pieces and a wishlist, and a fantastic tour of the boutique by the boutique manager and two SAs, a personal grail was finally on my wrist.

Introducing my Vacheron Constantin Historiques American 1921!

The boutique even provided me a limited edition collector’s book and a monogrammed suede travel pouch.

Thanks also to everyone on the other thread for their guidance in getting one! Waitlist was only two weeks.

I highly recommend others visiting the boutique. Nina (manager), Alex, and Emjay (from the e-boutique) provided impeccable service!

Congratulations! What a beautiful piece! Is that a 36.5 or 40mm? Did they provide you with a box, booklet, and paper?

The NYC Flagship Boutique is absolutely amazing. Everyone there go above and beyond. You cannot ask for better customer service. They are always so welcoming every time we stop by. Love them!

It's the 36.5mm. Just fit my wrist better than the 40 and the proportions feel more classic.

And yes, I got the full box/papers/warranty card. They didn't have a user guide booklet like in previous years as I was told that's now a part of my online profile, which also extends the warranty.

It’s just a smidge over 6.5 inches. The quality of the watch has been phenomenal these couple days of ownership.

Cool watch . Congratulations!

From the photo of the bottle it does appear you hogged all of their good Scotch. Do they have any good Bourbon left, in case I decide to stop in this weekend?

I think they can probably find you something good! I did indeed drink quite a bit of that whisky. Consider it a digestif as it made the number that showed up on the bill a little easier to stomach.
