FSOT: 1978 Rolex DateJust 16014

Hi all. Up for sale or trade is a beautiful and classic Rolex DateJust 16014 from 1978. While this watch needs almost no introduction, for those who are not as familiar with these pieces it's worth mentioning that the 160xx series DateJusts were the first DateJusts to feature the quick-set date feature (the ability to set a date without having to advance the time through a 24-hour cycle). At the same time, they kept using the plexi crystal, allowing the watch to retain a rather vintage vibe. It's also worth pointing out that this particular one include a beautiful yellow-gold linen dial and matching, service (luminova lume) hands. While the watch did not come like this directly from Rolex, such dial swaps are rather common on vintage DateJusts as Rolex themselves, up to relatively recent times, would allow you to request such a change to your watch. Overall, as evidenced by the photos, it is in rather good vintage condition, featuring a 36mm case and running with a very respectable amplitude of around 280 and having great accuracy.
