Honestly, I think the black is as good as the blue. I can’t justify the premium of the blue when it’s essentially the same watch with a different dial.

I sincerely hope you enjoy the watch. It’s a great watch on its own. Being allocated an AP 15510ST as a first AP is a sign of trust from the SA to you. Flipping it within a week for a 5167 will not leave a good taste in the mouth of the SA who put forward your name for the watch. I’m sure other members on TRF wouldn’t encourage such blatant flipping behaviour as well. Ultimately you decide what’s best for you.

Next time anybody complains about the AP SAs and their attitude, I'll point them to OP's two threads (who needed a whole weekend to move on, after a supposed two years wait). What a shitty job.

You are bringing up a very good point here, I wouldn’t want to put my SA in bad position, that is not my intent at all.

But in another post you want to trade it for a black dial 5167… is black RO not hype enough or does 5167 do a better black dial?

Edit, OP, I was reflecting ^ and feel my post was over the top. I meant it in a ‘dad’ tone meaning I don’t think you realize how special your watch is… I’ve loved the 5167 since around 2014, then tried it on. Cool watch and (at the time) enjoyed the stealthiness and rubber strap (I sweat), but was underwhelmed IRL. Then I saw a RO 15400 and it blew my expectations out of the water. I couldn’t fathom getting a 5167 at current pricing. May I recommend a black dial 5170 : ) or figuring how to do this with a 15510 https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=510450

Thank you very much for your advice. I completely agree with you that sometimes we fail to appreciate what we already have and end up thinking that the grass is greener on the other side.

Asrah I actually feel bad for you... You got a HIGHLY sought after watch after a long wait and you should be really excited (there's a TON of other TRF members who are still waiting for any RO call)... Instead you're already questioning whether to trade for a PP or a blue face... Preventing you from actually enjoying what you bought

Don't expect too much sympathy from the members here. My sense is if you really wanted a blue dial, you should have either waited or gone grey. Same for the 5167, it's a totally different watch

I say go for what you really want and risk your relationship now and flip it as it doesn't sound like you're with AP for the long haul anyway
