LOL hard no! If I want a watch that feels light and not premium I would go with a cheaper brand.

Sometimes a light weight alternative is a welcome change. Just one of the many attributes of my Pelagos blue.

Agreed. My Pelagos 39 Titanium weighs more than my Daytona 116520 does on leather with the Rolex clasp or rubber B on the clasp. Both very popular choices for some Daytona models.

Never hear the Crown guys complaining about the Daytona being underweight or feels cheap. Somehow, with the Pelagos they seem to have hit a sweet spot with the weight. I’ve had titanium watches before that feel lightweight and cheap. Pelagos doesn’t feel or wear light and certainly doesn’t feel cheap .

If I wanted a titanium watch, I’d have one, but I can’t rule it out completely. Maybe I will want one in the future.

My 1680 red feels like it’s titanium so I really don’t care for a titanium timepiece.

I’ve never understood the conflation of “light” equals “cheap.” How many people have ever said to themselves, man I wish this tool weighed more? Also not sure anyone who has ever handled a Journe Centigraphe or Langhe Odysseus has come away thinking they are cheap and plastic toys. I own titanium and stainless and will continue to own both, each has its place as does precious metal.

Easy. The people who equate light = cheap have never ever seen quality before. They are usually first to open with “I’d never…”. Whatever rock they own must the “the bestest” in the world. Naturally, they have never been outside of their world. So every time I read an idiotic statement , I make a note to myself: don’t be this stupid, me.

Listen we all have opinions! Heavy is very naturally understood as solid, luxury. You want to feel what you are wearing.

Exactly! Most of the people saying titanium feels cheap have never had a titanium watch. After wearing one a SS feels so primitive. Like having a carbon fiber bodied car but complaining the light feeling of the doors feels cheap. Right…

…would you buy a titanium watch?

Absolutely.

There is nothing cheap about grade 5 titanium, but then again, this forum is rife with hyperbole and unwarranted opinions so bring the disagreement.

Lighter is more comfortable, fight me.

That’s my unwarranted opinion.

I have a titanium omega x33 and although it’s a completely different tool watch the titanium Is a welcome relief after wearing my Rolex DSSD JC sometimes. Horses for courses but I would certainly welcome a titanium Deepsea or Sub.

I've already purchased two...and would happily purchase another.

Nothing to do with the weight of the watch...it's more of decision based on aesthetics. Not much difference then when selecting a PM.

Absolutely! I love the idea of a titanium dive watch for summer. Titanium yacht master on oysterflex would be perfect
