Playing with the idea of grabbing a 126040

Ok current collection is follows:

126610 LV. Cermit
126711CHNR. TT Root Beer
126710 BLRO Pepsi
Blue Seamaster 300m on rubber (current model)

Thinking about adding a no date sun to fill the lack of a black bezel in my collection.

This would be a grey purchase . Should I add? Or too much replication?

Long game eventually will be to add a gold oysterflex Daytona , but that’s 4x the price so likely several years away.

Thoughts?

I would not and save up for the Daytona or perhaps go a different route completely and check out some real vintage Subs or something fluted.

Only ceramic bezels would be way too boring for my liking

Too much replication.

If you just want a black bezel, I'd go for a much cheaper, non-Rolex black bezel.

Pelagos 39, for example.

I would add the Submariner. It’s a classic. Nice time to buy preowned if you can’t get it at an AD.

Don’t see anything wrong with that addition. The black turning bezels at Rolex wear pretty different to the colored ones. The only risk is that over time you’ll find yourself wearing the black one a lot more than the others.

How about something without a rotating bezel?

A black sub is never a mistake, but I’d say something without a bezel. You seem to like more sport watches than dress. I tend to be the same way.

Have you considered an OP41 or an Air King?

I think it would be a great addition to your collection, and in my mind is theee watch.

Yes, 124060 would be a good addition to your collection. A sub and GMT duos.

Meh. Since you have the 126610LV, I would not.
