Poor Workmanship on Liger Straps (AKA Strapfreak that posts on TRF)
I have been collecting watches for over 30 years and have had various straps made for my watches during
this time. Recently, I ordered a Saffiano Leather Straps from Liger Straps last month for my Exploer 16570. I had it customized so that it would have red stiching to match the 24 hour hand and requested that it be 110mm x 70mm. Liger claims that these are "The Best Waterproof Watch Straps" but I beg to differ. Not only was the strap closer to 113mm x 73mm but, as seen below, the strap arrived with very poor workmanship to the lug area where the spring bars go. I contacted Liger (Darren) and was told that the lengths of the strap are measured from the edge of the strap to the center of the hole where the spring bars go. This was a first for me and in my opinion should be clearly stated on their website. More suprisingly, Darren didn't respond at all to my issues about the shoddy workmanship at the lug area and he did not offer any sort of compensation. While I'm sure that not all Liger straps suffer from these problems/issues, I want buyers to be aware of my experience before making any purchase from Strapfreak. |

Thanks for the responses.
1) What you are looking is where the spring bars would be inserted and that should be completely smooth leather, not mangled/damaged as shown. 2) I also asked my Saint about the damage and her response is below - she claims that she was sleeping as usual |

Follow Up
Not sure if it is because of this post or not but Liger refunded my money for the strap today.

Glad it was made right with a refund. That looks like when Bugs Bunny puts his finger in a shotgun and it explodes.
