Just remember that ROLEX USA controls its own pricing and its not because of Switzerland handing down the price list. Again this has to do with the adjustment of the dollar I believe since some markets have not seen such a jump.

Roger's right. USA has taken a much bigger hit on the prices as compared with the rest of the world.

For example: just look at the ridiculous price hike on the SS Sub-date...up from $4525 to $5175....almost 14½% - $650 UP!!!

In Auckland, the price rise on this model has been only 8%.

Glad I bought mine when I did!!

Yes but even if they raised the price by 100% you would still buy it since you are such a sucker for cleavage

OUCH is all I can say, I am very very glad I have secured my used GMT now. The used market will probably go up as well as more people turn away from these increased prices.

I'm not happy about those prices at all. My next Rollie was going to be a Sub w/o date, but not anymore. Maybe I'll get one preowned like my GMT? I may look into other brands as well - sad to say...

I like the black Omega SMP for a sub-ish watch. I think they're $1400 or so new on discount. I think Omega is puting in coaxial movements in everything and will be bumping their prices up $1000. Much prefer the real subs though.

Well we knew it would be "healthy." On one hand I wish I bought the SD on the last dsay, then again I'll tale my money to where there is no sales tax and hope I do not feel the pinch as bad. Well the good news is that if I sold my GMT II now, I could recoup 99%!

Ouch those are some BIG prices now........

I just bought a new Z series GMT II black/red here in Macau last month from the biggest AD here. When it was all said and done...it cost me $3875 US......I guess I should stay quiet.

Might buy a dozen more.....

Rolex increases prices every alternate year, I feel its unjustified esp. as the increase is quite large & no change in movts.
As time passes by we get used to it, but its not fair & who cares esp. Rolex as they sell alll that they produce.
