7206 Bracelet…No Date Code?
Do all 7206 bracelet clasps have a date code? I have been offered one (big logo) that doesn’t. I don’t have any photos yet so just asking this basic question…

To the best of my knowledge the 7206 should originally have that three digit triangular date stamp, upside down to adjacent scroll.
Long shot, but if Rolex Service Centre replaced the blades between 73-76 they would have come without a date stamp, and also I believe I read comments from those who know lot more than me, that very occasionally bracelets didn't get stamped fully for some reason. A photo of the rest of of bracelet/clasp when you have it might elicit a bit more detail.

In my experience, even the fakes have a date code. :-)

May be confusing with the C&I which has no code on the end link and just a date on the clasp ...

If I remember correctly, the earliest 7206 bracelets did not have date stamps, and dated bracelets began appearing in 1964. OOPS - wrong
See Dan's message below - I mis-remembered a post from years ago on VRF. |

Quote:
Date stamps on the blade definitely go back to the early 60s https://www.watchprosite.com/rolex/r...393.8002293/0/ And here is one with a 58 date stamp https://www.chrono-shop.net/en/a-r-c...5512-6202.html None of these are what I would call big logo blades.

Here is a true big logo 7206 with 59 date code.
https://www.windvintage.com/rolex-bi...ks-from-1959-1 According to this, big logo is only from 1958-1960. https://rolexhaven.com/bracelets.html

Given that the OP has made only 8 posts in 13 years, we probably shouldn't hold our breath.

Thank you for everyone’s input. Turns out it’s not a true “Big Logo”. Consider myself educated in that. It also turns out that it has a date stamp! Did get a better photo and it has a 2 69 date code…also, true I’ve had 8 posts but I check in very frequently. I need to get more involved!

Thanks for updating us.
Glad we all could help. Yep agree, the term BIG LOGO ‘overhang clasp’ and Very rare BIG LOGO ‘blade’ worth differentiating by us all.

A moot point now, but you can post photos directly at any time. After 10 posts you can post links.
