Hello All:

Last year I reached out to Dave (daveathall) about hiking in his Yorkshire area and we discussed meeting in person for a pint when I made it over there. Sadly, time and the fickle hand of fate will not allow that to occur.

So tomorrow (Saturday) at 2:00 p.m. MST, I will be hoisting a pint of the best English beer I can find in salutation and good wishes to a wonderful gentleman who is an integral part of this forum. Hopefully, this time will allow many of us members to join in a toast of appreciation at roughly the same time on both sides of the ocean.

If you care to join in (as a couple of fellow members have indicated) please post a pic!

Alcoholic beverages NOT required.

I'll be in the car on my way to cheer on the mighty Sunderland at 2 but as soon as I find a pub I'll raise a glass to a fellow Yorkshireman.

Especially as I'll be a Leeds fan for the morning. I always say, I only support 2 teams. Sunderland and whoever is playing Newcastle. MOT

Just a thought, maybe we could get a zoom call together and ask Dave if he'd like join in (that is if he is feeling well enough)

How absolutely wonderful GJ free purple are in this group, I will be drinking tea or juice. You know this post just came at GJ free exact time I needed something like this. I woke up and immediately thought, " you are seriously ill Dave and there's nothing you can do about it. " a moment of self pity if you will, but Jason's post dispelled that negativity to the back, thank you so much my friend. That is class and its what all the people here have in spades.
