Rolex Watch Cleaning

Am I the only person that enjoys cleaning their Rolex watches almost as much as I do wearing them?

Its just something about giving my watches a good bath and then putting them back in the winder nice and clean.

What are some of your preferred cleaning and drying methods?

INBETWEEN WASHES

And if nothing else, it’s a special cloth that does not create micro swirls

Certain watches such as a daydate40 heavily benefit from this as its a shiney piece.. something like a sub, not so necessary.. but trust me, if you’d be open minded you’d be happy you tried it out Im certain of that

I last did mine while in the shower with a toothbrush and shampoo and I was really surprised how it well looked afterwards, particluarly the bezel insert numbers were much brighter afterwards.

Same here, minus the every morning, I use some soap and lather my hands like I'm going to wash them and then just use my fingers to clean the watch and dry it with a microfiber cloth.

I doubt it. I’ve only heard Dawn recommend by many WiS over the years.

Unless it’s about future values, the WiS are never wrong.

It is not true based on my twenty-five years of watch washing experience at the kitchen sink with warm water and a cotton dish cloth.

I clean them weekly with dish soap and a tooth brush. Afterwards dry them with a paper towel and microfiber cloth. And for 1 hour, the watch looks almost new. :p

Couldn't paper towel leave hairline scratches?

I meant kitchen paper, i use it to pat it dry and not rub it to hard. When it is almost dry i use the microfiber cloth to finish it. My watch also has hairline scratches on the watch from wearing it, i won’t be perfect forever but i don’t think paper alone makes it scratch. Unless there is sand on it.
