Need Help on an old Sub
Hey guys....got a short story. A friend of mine recently passed away and he had a Sub with a date...at least 30 years old....It had red writing on the face..cant remember what was in red but something was written in red. I, unfortunately at the time, didnt pay much attention...now that I am really interested in Rolex's, am wondering what it is and what the value of it is. I have to meet with his daughter this week and really would like to buy it just for the memory sake and would like to pay the gal what it is worth....I have not had it in my hand, but can say that it is old and I'm sure it isnt in mint condition...I dont know the serial number or any of the real details...just looking for some TRF input. It's an old sub and I sure would like to buy it from her and want pay it's value...any help??? I know she would love me to have it and I want to pay the going price. Thanks TRFer's

Ahhh come on...help me out Swede.....I am serious.....I really want this for a keepsake....if it's a 10K watch...she can keep it...I cant do it...I'm just looking for some input. I'm a newbie to this stuff and appreciate it's quality and value. This watch has lots of sentimental memories if you know what I mean

1680 Red Sub
Depending on condition and whether it is a meters first or feet first Red Sub and whether it comes with Box and Papers, somewhere between 7.5k and 12k.
