New to me GMT 😍

Hi, I thought I'd introduce myself and my GMT Master!
I work in car sales and a week ago I sold a car to a guy who was wearing a Pepsi GMT. I was conscious that I couldn't stop looking so I had to tell him that he was wearing my dream watch. This started a conversation how he doesn't wear it as much as he used to etc
Anyway he bought the car and was over the moon with it. When I contacted him 48 hours later he proposed that he would get a trade in price for the watch online and would offer it to me as he could tell by my enthusiasm how much I would like to own one!
I was absolutely blown away and sure enough another few days passed and he came back with a very fair price to which I had to take the opportunity.
For context, I had a ceramic Seamaster years ago which I kept for 2 years and sold to buy a motorbike. I then bought a Harrods Black Bay 3 years ago which has been followed up with an original Seamaster 300m diver, Moonswatch, Seiko 5 and some limited edition G Shocks.
I'm hoping that what this chap told me is true and that was that once you own this GMT you'll never look at another watch.
Anyway, sorry for the rambling but hi and I'll try and attach a pic, any info advice, comment welcome 👍

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the GMT. It really is a great watch. Which reference did you get? Would love to see it!

Hi, thank you for the welcome. It is a 16700 from 1993, unfortunately I haven't worked out how to resize a photo to upload, I'm sure there's a guide somewhere

Thanks. I need to look at this on my PC but do I need to post 10 times before being able to add a photo?

Whilst I'm here can I ask for opinions. Does this hobby ever end where you think it will. I chased the last 4 of my watches thinking each would be the final piece. I'm not sure the GMT has even done it.
Can you guys relate?

I can relate. Almost like the chase is better than achievement. Always “one more” I want to add. Listing over a green 41mm OP these days.

That's reassuring! I think I'll rotate my other watches and hope that will scratch the itch for now! It will be good to get opinions on my GMT once I can post some pics

Thanks, I do love it. A bit concerned with it being a 30 year old watch and a lot of money to me. It was serviced in March and is keeping good time so I'm guessing that the advice here would be for me to wear and enjoy?
I believe the dial to be genuine, any advice or comments welcomed!
