Got the Call for a Mint - Turned it Down

Got the call this morning for a 36mm DJ in the configuration I am looking for (smooth, Jubilee, steel) but in the mint dial, which is not the dial I want.

I appreciated the call, but politely declined. Told my SA to go ahead and make someone else's day, so hopefully someone else here on TRF gets an exciting call today!

I know the mint dials are fairly sought after, but it's just not for me. I know everyone wants fluted, but just wanted to add another anecdotal data point that hopefully points to things opening up a bit.

I'm with you. The green dials just don't do it for me personally. Good of you to let the next one get it. Hoping your desired config comes through soon.

Cool post. I like the mint but black sounds like the better choice in this case.

Same here. I really wanted a two-tone on jubilee, but was offered a mint green on oyster. Turned it down, and within days, got the one I wanted.

The tide is turning - hang in there and wait for the one you want!

I would only buy what you want. Black or silver dial is a better choice to me.
