I prefer to look at the dial of the watch more then the back of it.

I can very well imagine to put it on one of mines!

With partial Rolex guarantee ( at least to 50 m ) would be nice, though!

But it will never happen, as it would force Rolex to better their movements cosmetically

it's nice but as others have said, the movement isn't much of a looker!
Would be a nice option on dress watches such as DD but not on a sports model.

I don't like it either because I think it's tinkering with Rolex's design but if they like it, it's their watch.

I wonder if it affects depth rating when that is done.

It pressure checked just fine..

As a matter of fact, this design is tested by the maker at 200m..

I found a guy online that did the same thing to his Daytona and I really liked it. Considering the beauty of the caliber inside a Daytona I could understand why someone would do that, now, thinking about an Explorer or other sports models. Not sure. .

I like it, Rolex should offer this as an option. My thinking if they can make the front waterproof that they should be able to make the back the same. Plus, if Rolex is going to hike prices again, I think they will have to rub a little funk on the line to liven up their offerings. Think about it, my Explorer I has a MSRP of 5050US, for a watch that has only hour minutes and seconds. Also, if Rolex made the crystal case backs, just think of the potentially very cool things they could do with that canvas.

I see nothing wrong with clear casebacks. I've got a GP, a JLC, and a Glycine with clear casebacks. Do I ever look at them? Nooo. So a lot of good they do me.

Clear casebacks would looks nice, apart from on sub/seadwellers with the pressure thing, maybe gertan dress models would look nice with 'no face' also giving a skeleton look.
