16800 listing thoughts
I’ve been on the hunt for a birth year (1984) 16800 in decent condition with matte dial, some aging to the dial, and preferably blueish/grey patina to the bezel. I don’t care so much about box and papers and OK for some polishing as it’s going to be a daily driver for me and not some investment piece.
What are y’all’s thoughts on this eBay listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/27601072903...mis&media=COPY I put an offer on it but can return if things looks off. Curious if this would be a good buy or any red flags stand out (or if you think over polished). Last edited by Matchu; 13 November 2023 at 05:13 AM.. Reason: Added link |

It is not as fast as other boards so there may be more time for folks to look and give their insight.

Items is no longer available and I never would’ve bought it in the first place. OP: for a special birth year watch vintage acquisition, please find a trusted vintage seller here

Thanks for looking.. I’ve been monitoring the classifieds here for a bit and haven’t seen the right match, but completely get your point. I also figured with the eBay authenticity program, gives some additional confidence if I did have to go that route.

You never have to go that route, and the authenticity guarantee for a real vantage piece is foolishness Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The right-side lugs are thin, especially the top one.

I dunno, in some pics (like the first one) the springbars are exposed, in others they're not. I'd probably just pass.
