Favourite Rolex

What's your Favourite Rolex and why ?

Mine is currently the LeMans . White Gold, Display Case Back . Glidlock.Gloss Dial . 24hour Counter. A little splash of red .

unlikely to own one without going the grey route . Where do we think it will end up price wise. Having watched several just sit around and not sell . best Guess ?

It’s the 126519 black dial. On OF strap. Hoping to get it in 2024.
I think it’s pretty understated for a Daytona. To the untrained eyes, they wouldn’t even know it’s in WG, much less fathom that a 30k watch would come with a rubber strap. I like that the OF watches are mostly enthusiast’s watch, at least that’s through personal encounters and observations.

LM Daytona is nice, but at this point it being THE Daytona in my opinion makes it a yawn fest….

Other than the sentimental reasons… The meteorite dial is one of a kind and the sheer heft of the gold! And it just looks freaking cool!

Sprite - because the name rules people to the point of smashing their keyboard and it really gets under their skin, and the watch itself messes with people’s minds, to the point they’ll disagree with my post, and in turn smash up their new keyboard - having previously flipped and smashed it for calling it - SPRITE !

True, and the same reasons I like my 14060 Sub.

My all time favourite is my first Rolex, the 16600 Sea-Dweller which I gave to my son for his birthday a few years ago and he now proudly wears and enjoys.

Of my current collection probably my 126600 Sea-Dweller but all the rest are a close second

Have to say I love the Le Mans also.

I’d love a DD also and think that could cover everything for me.

In my modest collection GMT LN, although a 2 liner Sub and 39 Explorer are 2nd and 3rd quite closely.

That's mine too if we're talking modern. I've never seen it in person, but it is my grail. A platinum Day Date with the Arabic dial is also my favourite—a grail I've never seen in person as well. The LeMans would definitely be on my list too, but I don't wear gold because I'm Muslim, and it's prohibited in my faith.

If we're talking about all of Rolex's catalogue, vintage and modern, I would say my all time favourite and the most beautiful watch ever created is a 4 digit Daytonas. A 6263 is to die for

that pretty much rules out a lot of rolex models for you. the hands and indices are all made of gold..

The Submariner 124060 and the Sea-Dweller 4K 126600 are tied.

My Favourite Working Rolex Tool Watch My 16600 SD worked well with well over 600 hours underwater never let be down.

My Favourite Sentimental Rolex My Fathers 6263
One I would Never Sell At Any Price.

My Own Favourite Vintage Rolex 1930s Rolex Prince fantastic movement the modern day one just a pretender IMHO. Nothing in todays modern day line excites me, not a fan of precious metal or any of todays hyped watches,or any of the perceived so called rare Rolex watches.

Precious metals and perceived rarity aren't remotely important to me, so genuinely for me it's my 116710BLNR. I honestly cannot fault it for what I'm looking for in a Rolex.

If it was a one and only I would choose either my SS Submariner-C ND 124060, or my SS Sky-Dweller White Dial on Jubilee.

I really like the bark finish PMs which Rolex made years ago. It is a really incredible finish especially on the DJ with the jubilee bracelet.

In general it’s any Submariner.

I drool over the white gold version, and had one for a time. However, if I got to design my own, I would add a sunburst blue dial to the current model. I sold my 116619LB because the blue dial often looked bland.

They offer the sunburst dial in white gold, but only the gem set version.

Of all time, it would be between the 1655 EXP2 and the PN Daytona.

From my collection, probably the SD43, but that really just depends on the day of the week.

These are the three that remain in my collection; 116500LN Panda, 116610LV and 126710BLRO. The order of entry is completely random.
