Kudos To Zenith Customer Support

I just wanted to share a very positive experience I had with Zenith customer service regarding their warranty.

I recently purchased a Zenith watch from its original owner, which included the original box, papers, signed warranty card (May 2022), etc. I went on Zenith's website to register for their extended warranty (three additional years), and I kept getting an error message when I entered the watch information from the warranty card.

While this was obviously concerning just after buying a used watch, I emailed Zenith customer service with a photo of the warranty card and the watch. The next day, I received a very nice reply stating that the AD had actually never activated the warranty and I needed to contact the AD directly to have them do so.

The AD also very promptly apologized for their oversight and let me know the warranty was now activated. Fast forward a few days later, and the Zenith (actually an LVMH customer care specialist) rep let me know that my watch was now covered by the Zenith warranty for five years from Dec 2023, so through the end of 2028.

1. They were incredibly responsive and helpful through all of my emails to them.

2. They didn't have to start the warranty from now, as it was originally purchased in May of 2022.

3. They went above and beyond in both customer service responsiveness and in generosity by extending the warranty to 2028.

4. Aside from already loving my watch, this had made me a big fan of them as a company.

This is obviously just one subjective data point, but I feel it's important to share stories like this when companies do a great job.

My pleasure! I feel like you see people complain about products/companies more often than give them kudos (guilty!) so I thought it would be valuable to share a good news story.

It's my first Zenith, and absolutely already makes me inclined to get another one in the future. It also helps that the watch (Chronomaster original), has been fantastic so far. It's beautiful and running at a perfect +/- 0 spd.

If opportunity allows I strongly recommend going to their factory in Le Locle. You can do the reservation on their website. It's a bit far from usual tourist spots but it's well worth it.

Btw all watch brands basically do their warranty that way. It’s why unfilled cards are a premium.

Thank you, I had no idea regarding blank cards! I actually thought that invalidated it for some reason.

This warranty card actually has a date filled out on the card (May 2022), but I guess since the AD forgot to activate it with Zenith it defaults to the date they finally did so.

Either way, I was pleased with the outcome.

I’m considering purchasing the Chronomaster Original e commerce edition on the gray leather strap. It’s derived from the ‘69 A386 but has a unique radial ring with different tone gradiations. Zenith customer service has been responsive to all my inquiries. Haven’t pulled the trigger just yet.
