Actually, I prefer Steel & Gold with ALL of my Rolex watches:

Which just goes to show that individuals make the difference. Different strokes for different folks.

Almost all of my watches are SS, but one particular model of the TT DJ had great appeal so I purchased one and haven't taken it off for two weeks.

Hi ismvli,

Generally, most Asians prefer TT watches. Having lived 50 years in India and also having travelled through the Middle East (also lived in Iran for 7 years) and Hong Kong, I've noticed that the TT model, espeially the TT DJ, is very popular there.

SS models and especially the Sports ones, are more popular with the Caucasians....although YG and TT ones too find their proper place with quite a few of them.

It depends on the watch for me. In sport watches, I prefer SS. In dressier watches (like DJs), I like TT, and in real dress watches (like my DD and JLC), I go for all YG.

I think they're all great. I would say that the TT Datejust is probably on eof the most common ROLEX watches I see. As amatterof fact outside the forum the DJ and the Sub are probably the most recognizable models. It all comes down to personal preference. Wear what you enjoy!

TT for Asian

hmmm.. a friend of mine told me that the reason why he likes TT is that it is more flexible compared with SS... It means that you can wear it with formal or casual outfit.

you have to remember one important thing, the ppl that frequent these message boards are less than 1/100000000000000 (you get the point) of a percent of the watch buying public. It is strongly beleived that Asia is Rolex's largest market and that the TuTone models are most popular around the world.
