26240ST vs. Rolex 126519LN
please help.
I am going to ask for AP AD for the 26240ST as my next watch. However, I just got offered to buy the Rolex 126519LN. What do you think of AP chrono vs. Rolex Daytona? I meant I like the daytona with oysterflex strap. Just curious what you think and suggest. Thanks |

What's your purchase history with SCP? If you already have 2-3 AP's already, then I would wait for the 26240ST. It's a much better watch imo versus the Daytona on a strap.
If you only have the 15510ST and it was your first watch, it might be hard to get another RO as your 2nd so I would recommend the Rolex in that situation bc you might not get the 26240ST anytime soon. |

It all depends on your collection. I would ask for the 26240st with your boutique either way. It'll probably take a bit of time if it's your 2nd piece from AP. In the meantime, I would pick up the Daytona if budget allows. I think every collection could use a Daytona in it.

26240ST vs. Rolex 126519LN
the answer depends on: what else do you have? If you re rolex heavy, then focus on ROC.
The Daytona is cool, but not special. ROC wear like jewelry. |

in term of value, what do you say to AP chrono vs Rolex daytona? another question, for the daytona, do i have to unscrew before I can activate the chronograph function? I know this is not the case for 26240ST. it is a push-down mechanism |

I think AP ROC prices will be falling more than Daytona. So pick that up later and take the Daytona now.

I'm definitely an AP guy, but I'd choose the WG oysterflex Daytona in this case.
Something about the new black dial on the WG oysterflex, have yet to see one in person but I've heard good things. It also comes with the glidelock clasp so it should fit a wider range of wrists. |

I think the 26240st fits a substantial wrist better, while the Daytona wears perfectly. |

Having owned a 116519 a year ago I would go for the 26240. It's just a cooler chrono, has an safire caseback, no screwed pushers

Very different watched and wear completely differently. I find the Daytona just too small for me. I had 126519LN and I sold it (before the hype, wish I kept it from a value perspective). I love the ROC, it has great wrist presence and is very comfortable and easy to wear. However, I would still pick up the Daytona and try for the ROC later if you can swing both. A bird in the hand….
