GMT II service.
Went to the local Ad today to send my Gmt master II off for its 10 year service/overhaul. The odd thing was they asked for $80.00 for Insurance and shipping charges to send it to RSC In Cali. This is the first time I have ever been charged in addition to the normal " service " fee's from Rolex. Anyone else delt with this ? I will consider sending it directly to Rolex next time.

My AD charged me around $60 to send my GMT II to the RSC in Dallas, but they did not charge me until it came back, I did not have to pay it up front.

Why not send it yourself and not go threw a middleman(AD)?

I would just send it straight there... FWIW, Beverly Hills RSC is closed so most likely they sent it to Dallas or NY...
