RSC Experience

First ever RSC Dallas Experience. I sent my Explorer 114270 to RSC after it stopped winding while being worn. Essentially stopped on the wrist though it worked fine after a manual wind.
At any rate the peace of mind after a service is good.
1. Called customer service who emailed instructions.
2. Went to Lowe’s to get proper paper shipping tape.
3. Sent it on a Monday which fully declared was 39 bucks.
4. Arrived Friday and got estimate Monday.
5. Service is 850. Changing a couple of movement components. Another $200.
6. Now the wait.

Good report. Next time ask them for the shipping materials and they will send them to you.

Thanks for info. I called customer service first and they didn’t mention that. I’ve got a big roll of paper tape now!

Hope you get it back sooner than later Brad.

Did they quote you a lead time?

No but I didn’t ask either. I know it won’t be quick. I used the AD in Vail last time. They were about 8 weeks. Their watchmaker took a job at Dallas RSC. It would be cool if he worked on my watch.
He was a retired Navy guy and I gave him info to enroll in the VA.

On the way back

The Explorer has been serviced and is on the way back arriving overnight tomorrow. Just a touch over 5 weeks.

They (Dallas RSC) are sending me the repair shipping kit for 2 watches. They should be in transit.
Rep told me 6-8 weeks once repair was approved.
Sending a SS datejust and a two tone ladies.
I'll follow up as things progress
