Icon20 GMT Pepsi availability

Hi all!

According my AD I was prioritized for the Pepsi last year in December. I am a customer with a bigger purchase history. I asked them last week about the state. The told me they did not receive a single piece in the last time. Now I am really sceptic to believe them. Could that be the truth or the AD is simply lying? Did anyone receive a Pepsi in the last months?

My go to grey dealer and the ADs I purchase from are in close proximity to each other. Don't know if my grey is trying to temper my hopes hopes of getting a Pepsi or Panda from an AD by telling my that the desirable pieces are going out the "back door" to flippers and greys who buy the undesirable pieces or brands in "bundle / package" deals now pieces like 2 tone and/or diamond adies models aren't moving.

People who believe their ADs get 2 or 3 BLROs per month. I sincerely doubt it. The hard-to-get SS models are hard to get and selling for 2X MSRP used or more precisely because ADs don't get a lot of them. Anyone could source one from an AD if they got 2 or 3 a month in with just a little effort.

It was just posted in another thread there was a mass global release of BlNRs last month and people all over got calls. It will be curious to see where those go delivery wise the rest of the year as other models are produced for selected monthly releases.

My AD is part of WOS and he told me they receive at least one Pepsi in every shipment. He has no reason to lie to me since I have no interest in that watch.

My AD said they used to receive 4-5 per year but hasn’t seen any in a long time.

Yeah, mine said last year they received zero BLRO's. I thought they were full of it, but it seems that this has been the case for other peoples / their AD's as well.

Interestingly enough, the secondary market price has been increasing over the last few months. Not sure if due to becoming more scarce, the persistent discontinuation rumor, or both.

There was definitely a big paws and shipments last year… I know that it’s become a more difficult watch to come by.

I was able to get my Pepsi in October of 23. The SA told me that she hadn’t seen a Pepsi in a long time and didn’t expect to see another one anytime in the near future.

Last year in December. So December 2023.

It could be any time in December… if late December we are talking <60 days.

Absolutely possible they’ve received none during that time.

Not a single Pepsi in their last shipment?

I think that’s believable.

My AD, whom I trust, told me that he usually received 12 BLRO per year, saw his allowance divided into two for the year 2023. AD of medium size.

Nah, it’s still not even close to a white SS Daytona or even black SS Daytona in desirability. Prices for a BLRO on the secondary market reflect that. You can get a BLRO in the $23k range now pretty easily. They are out there so no reason to panic buy.

They’re getting pretty closed. Aren’t they both twice their retail price on grey?

The price difference is still way apart. BLNR are $18k and BLRO are $23k right now. White SS Daytona is $35-$36k for 12 series and $32k for 11 series. Via our trusted sellers current sales. It is true the SS GMT market has ticked up this past month more than other models but it hasn’t gone to a tier 1 level like the Daytona market. The GMT market is in a temporary speculation high for a 2024 change. After that it will settle back down depending if nothing gets discontinued. The SS Daytona market is what it is regardless.
That said, IF we see a particular SS GMT model get discontinued, we can expect to see that SS GMT to act similarly to what the “Hulk” did in its market value after getting discontinued.

We have all been here before it’s just now it’s the SS GMT is in play for the crazy speculation for the 2024 release.

Yep I think both are driving factors which are increasing the hype…

I’m thinking if they do a Coke they won’t do a Pepsi in parallel or stick to white gold. Who knows though.

No matter what happens there is something going on with Pepsi availability. It’s zero. If any are being sold like mine was in Jan 2024, it was just sitting in the ADs safe for who knows how long.

It sounds like you've been reading the Rolex catalog, farare! Haha! I love it.

I travel to Tokyo frequently and know that you can buy Daytonas and GMTs (I saw an RBOW there a couple months ago, btw) at the grey markets shops in Nakano until your credit cards are maxed out so SOMEBODY is receiving shipments from Rolex. It's infuriating to see, actually... Put me down as someone that will never pay a penny over retail for a new watch. A cherry 16713 on a jubilee with B&P is a different story, however.

I'm watching the 126610 LV as they see to be coming down. I'm not one for paying over list but within reason I could justify it, say 1500-2000 over is acceptable to me as you only need to wear the watch a few years and the grey price you paid will likely be retail by then.

I got one in November and my SA told me it was the first one they have seen in several months.
And this is probably the largest AD in Australia.

So yes I do believe that some ADs may go months without receiving one.
