Unpolished question?

I'm no expert. Genuine question here.

Unpolished watches seem to have the polish marks going in line with the band.

It appears they do not have polish marks going with the contour of the bezel?

This watch is a clear example of the polishing following the contour of the bezel. I'm not interested in purchasing it (regardless). I am interested in learning how to spot polished vs unpolished examples.
So would this be an unpolished case or polished?

Not trying to pick on the seller. This one shows polishing following the contour of the bezel. As do many others I see listed.

Would like to hear from those in the know on this subject.

Thanks

When you write “contour of the bezel” are you referencing the brushed grain on the lugs?

If so, note that the 4/5-digit models, like the 16570 you linked to have a brush/grain that is more round and goes at an angle on the lugs. Please see this example of what a factory finish on a 5-digit stainless steel sport model should look like: https://tropicalwatch.com/watches/okvy

Modern 6-digit sport models have straight brushed grain.

While with some practice and attention to detail, you may learn how to spot a “bad polish” it is very difficult to learn how to identify an “unpolished” watch — in fact many of the trusted sellers won’t list them as such.

yes,
I'm referencing the straight vs curved lug polish grain.
Thanks for the input
