I live in the Bay Area where Craigslist started. Used to have coffee in the same shop "Craig" frequented. But that's beside the point...

Use EXTREME caution on Craigslist for watches. There is a ton of Garbage posted by people who are a) scammers or b) are trying to sell some POS watch that is so far from being real, much less of high quality...it is not worth your time.

Worse yet, I would be very leery of meeting someone for a cash deal. Life is too short man.

True, but I know ppl who live in 'bad' neighborhoods, Washington Heights, South Bronx, Bed-Stuy with Subs, DJ's, so can't really judje based on neighborhood, but the ad is what's so fishy, like Oscar said...and apparently it's a girl, not a guy....how the heck would someone forget their 20k Rolex in the midst of a divorce/breakup?

Agree. Things like such happen a lot here in China. You turn up with cash but your dream watch won't follow you home. Watch out and good luck.

My email was basically why so cheap, can we meet to verify authenticity...today's email:

"Because it belonged to my ex and i dont need the money. I can gladly meet you where ud like."

What to think? Is it worth my time? Is it worth bringing 5k cash on me if it is the real deal?

Thx, I was thinking diamond dist, since 5 min away, but its on my aol email, which is blocked...anyway I dint even bring the cash...

Lets ay it's legit...a lady, knowing she has a 18-20k watch, some 300lb man can meet her, bring 5 ppl and just rob her...

On the other hand, like the link someone posted, she could not be a woman, or even if she is, bring 4 or 5 ppl, knowing that potential buyer has cash on him and rob him, that's why the I can meet u anywhere is throwing me off as to whether it;s legit or not

Meet to authenticate the watch and then go to your bank for payment (their choice, cash certified check). Leave the watch in a security box at the bank for a couple of days, if you are uneasy with the situation.
