Santos De Cartier M YG or RG
OK
I got my medium SS Santos just a couple weeks ago and love the watch! I keep finding myself looking up the YG and RG with the white dial. (yeah I saw the new brown dial but it's not for me nor do they make YG or RG in a M with the brown dial yet) I was always in love with the Rolex DD but never thought I was an all gold watch guy. I got a DD 40 YG White and Romans for my Bday last year and I love it! I am really thinking of pulling the trigger on the YG or RG M Santos but can't decide which to get. I have fair skin and kinda think RG comes in and out of style BUT the RG Santos looks better than the RG DD to me. Do I get RG since I already have a YG on a bracelet watch? Of course I realize this is subjective and a personal decision but Id still like to hear others thoughts and opinions as I really like both of them. I’d get the one you like, there is no in and out of fashion metals these days. Santos is addictive. I have 4 extra straps for it and regularly change them. I’m contemplating it myself in rose on leather. That way it won’t ruin my wear of the watch when I get the DD40.

The DD40 and Santos both wear and feel very different on the wrist.
Both are great but very different

I am wearing a DD40 YG now and I own a Santos L. I think looking at it on my wrist the L size looks correct but looking at it in a full length mirror it looks like a gross distortion of what the watch is supposed to look like. If I get another one I’d go smaller and YG.

100% yg.
I agree the rose gold always looks better in person. But the yellow gold is timeless. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The rule of thumb is YG for fair skinned folk…
You can’t go wrong with YG. Of course the RG gives you a little diversity in the collection being you have the YG DD. The watches are different enough though that I’d go YG on the Santos. |

It looks nice in rose gold, but a Santos in yellow gold is a real classic! That would be my choice.

I have YG for this model and love it very much. Both RG and YG are equally great, no wrong choice, so go for the one you that you love the most.

I tried on the medium Santos SS recently and thought it was stunning. Much better looking than on the website. Haven’t tried on either the yellow or rose gold version but from the website I think the yellow gold looks better. I don’t think you could go far wrong with either though.
