New Tudor Incoming!

Was surprised to walk in and find this one available. Too tempting to pass up. Love the T-Fit bracelet and NFC card with testing specs. Please forgive the mediocre photo.

Very nice indeed-congratulations! I saw it in the flesh and I think it’s a great submariner replacement for those times you don’t feel safe wearing the sub. Real modern vintage piece. The fact that it is a master chronometer is compelling.

Have they changed the bezel edge as well? Seems more "Bart Simpson" vs the previous model

Wow, that was fast! This watch was just announced a few days ago. Ultra-fast delivery time! Looks great; handsome, sporty, rugged. Thanks for sharing. Hope you thoroughly enjoy it.

Nice. Would be even better if it had a model name on the dial....give it an identity rather than this vague Black Bay range.

Congrats!

But your photo makes the watch looks almost as big as your steering wheel! I assume it's the steeling wheel that is mall and not the watch that is huge LOL Porsche?

Thank you all for the nice comments. I had been contemplating a sub, as I was looking for a watch that I wouldn’t “baby” or be reticent to travel with. I asked if the AD had seen on of the new BB on rubber, but this was what they had and I decided it was serendipitous. I would say that it wears only slightly larger than the BB 58 I owned previously, despite being slightly thicker. Tudor has mitigated the awkward chunky quality that is evident in some prior references. When they initially presented the watch to me, I thought it was a sub at first glance. Really just a lot of watch for the money.

For the fellow enthusiast who asked, I can’t say how the bezel compares to earlier references. The bezel is not quite as refined as the sub, but is not off putting at all. Really pleased with it so far.

Anyone know if this wears the same as the Rolex Sub 41?

Yes, having worn both I would say yes except that the BB has the greater proportion of its height from the case whereas the Sub uses bezel thickness and a shallower case depth. In some ways the new BB feels a bit smaller.

I do think the new BB is a lovely piece if you want a Sub-vibe that will attract less attention. I would have both for different occasions. Add in the METAS certification and it becomes compelling.
