Help in the DC area
Hello,
I posted this before but I think it was removed and not sure why. I live in a very rural area and there VERY few options for high end watches. There are several models I am interested in (Rolex, AP, and VC) but I really want to see them in person before I pull the trigger. I know there are lot of used dealers in NY where you can walk in a see a lot of option, my question is are there any high end dealers (pre owned is fine!) in the Washington DC area that would have a good selection. TIA |

For Rolex you should be good. Tiny Jewel Box carries Rolex and Patek. So does Liljenquist and Beckstead out in Tysons. Bucherer in Pentagon City has Rolex, and has a decent pre-owned selection, but I’ve never seen and AP or VC. TJB has just gotten into selling preowned watches, but I didn’t notice those brands when I looked
If you want AP or VC, you’re out of luck. I think you’ll have to go to NYC. I haven’t any seen any place atound here that carries them, new or pre-owned. |

Take a day trip to NYC and you can find and try on everything you want

Lenkersdorfer has preowned AP and VC, and I have seen preowned VC at Bucherer. I would call confirm before you drive though.

I feel like it’s only going to be a couple of pieces, based on what I’ve seen at those places. OP will have to be really lucky for them to have what he’s looking for. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I flew to Boston to try on a selection of watches at European Watch. Well worth the trip and I was treated great and came home with two pieces. The mentions in this thread are accurate. Tysons Galleria will provide you with the largest overall selection of high end time pieces. I had a somewhat poor experience with L&B and wouldn’t return, but the selection is varied and quality.

I very much dislike Liljenquist and Beckstead -- although my really annoying experience there was in Montgomery Mall - my main interaction was with the older bearded gentleman. But obviously may be better in Tysons.

In checked the websites of L and B and Lenkendorfer. There are two obscure APs between them and no VCs. If OP wants to try on these watches, he needs to go to NYC.

Have you tried the Tiny Jewel Box? Last time I was there, they had a nice selection.

Was just at Liljenquist and Beckstead in the Galleria this past weekend. Hard place to get anything from, they did have some CPO Rolex’s in stock and of course No PP. Staff isn’t all that friendly most times when I visit, maybe it’s because I don’t dress like I’m from Tysons lol.
Did find out that they only get two PP of each model a year Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

TJB claim to be one of three "Rolex boutiques" with the other two being Sydney and Dubai. My SA there is a wonderful guy and has gotten me a DJ and steel sub (both in 2021). He has promised me a GMT this year (likely Rootbeer) for my 40th. Highly recommend them!

+1 for Tiny Jewel Box.
Great store, great people... been many years since I purchased from them but they were exceptional.
