Opinion about this 1601 Sigma

Hi guys,

So my last purchase didn't go as planned thanks to you guys for alerting me on the dial and crystal.

However im still looking for a new watch as the previous one is returned and came across this watch, it's again from a jeweler store so I expect to pay a bit more than a private seller but imho the condition is perfect the bracelet looks as good as new from the pictures with minimal wear and according to the clasp code it has a "A" marked in it indicating that it's from 1976 which is the same year as the watchs production year indicating it's the original bracelet which came with the watch.

This one has a sigma dial indicating that the hour markers might be 18k gold.

The font is a bit strange, it's hard to explain but it has lines on the end of the letters gives me some kind of snake font vibes haha but i'm sure i've seen it before on plenty DJs

what do you think?

Nice-looking DJ. I'd also want some natural-light photos, and a UV photo.

Dial looks clean with pleasing light patina on the tritium. The case appears to have been polished in the past but the lugs still look pretty good. Hard to tell by these photos if the bracelet has stretch. Does the date wheel have open 6s and 9s?

What's the begnning of the serial number asking price?

Oh yea I forgot to add the picture where you can determine the stretch on the bracelet. Ask price is 4250eur. serial number no idea, looks like the datewheel has a bold font, should the 6s and 9s be open on a bold font date wheel? If so I will check when visiting, I will go in person to the store for this one no online order.

Beautiful! I’d prefer this on an oyster, but condition of the dial, case and hands looks very nice ;)

It's fine if you prefer the security of a retail sale, but you're paying a LOT for it. And be aware that jewelry stores often give a short warranty instead of servicing the watch. They just take their chances that it will run ok for 6 months.
