DJ 36 - jubilee or oyster

Hi Guys

DJ 36 fluted bezel bright blue, with jubilee or
Oyster?

Jubilee is obvious pick but also liking the oyster here.

What would be your pick? JUBILEE OR OYSTER

Fyi, other watch in Collection is gmt pepsi with jubilee

THX!

For a 36, I prefer fluted/jubilee or smooth/oyster combos. Mixing them up just doesn’t look right to me. 40 is different story.

Depends very much on Bezel/dial configuration, personally. For me though generally I'd be picking Jubilee.

I have too many watches on Oyster with PCLs which drive me crazy with finger smudges, scratches etc.

For me I’d go oyster, you’ve got the jubilee covered with your GMT. The best of both to enjoy

Fluted bezel and 36mm best with jubilee. For 41 I prefer smooth and oyster. The blue dial is awesome BTW

Best regards

I have always liked the Oyster. I'm kind of a casual guy and the Jubilee looks too formal for jeans and a T-shirt (which I wear quite often).

Don't like oyster with PCLs - it's just such a better look when the whole thing is brushed.

So go jubilee. It is the "classic" Datejust look and will never go out of style.

Maybe my next watch will be a DJ36, 2 tone rose gold & SS, fluted on oyster with the chocolate dial.

I already have a DJ41 all SS with the jubilee & GMT Master on oyster.

Jubilee for sure (in my opinion) I do not like the polished center links of the Oyster.

I actually just tried the silver dial this weekend, I thought I wanted white Romans or black, but the silver is now a very strong contender.

It's so hard to choose one. Plenty of nice dials... like the mint green especially. Silver is classic though as well as black. If I'm picking one to wear daily for the rest of my life, I think it needs to be the silver, black, or maybe white romans, but no lume on the romans, unfortunately.

Edit, for some reason my brain read that you were looking at a silver dial, hence my photo... That said, I've tried the blue as well on Jubilee, and I still would go for the Jubileee.

A blue dial photo for reference. Sorry not a fluted bezel on this one... Blue dial is pretty great as well.

I prefer Fluted Jubilee, or Smooth Oyster. Something about mixing them does not appeal to me. Personally, I have the Fluter Jubilee.

Oyster on the DJ if it has a smooth bezel. Fluted bezel with the Jubilee.

I think the Jubilee complements the fluted DJ well.

You have a jubilee on the GMT, so get the oyster.

Agree with this. I have a fluted on Oyster that looks and feels fabulous. Get whichever you prefer.

Ever notice how often Rolex shows off their Datejusts with fluted and oyster? I think it is a killer look.

It really is. When we first saw my Wimbledon at the AD (turns out it would literally become my Wimbledon), my husband and I were both blown away. So I totally disagree with everyone who is saying the fluted must be matched with the jubilee. It’s just not true.

I like jubilee on all DJs unless it has the fluted motif dial. In that case I prefer the oyster

36 mm DJ, jubilee/ fluted bezel is about as classic as a Rolex gets.

The only way to make it more classic would be two tone with a silver dial

I’m loving the diversity in tastes here, no right or wrong, just how you like the watch on your wrist. Personally I like to see a jubilee on fluted bezel with a DJ.

Not boring at all. My next Datejust will be fluted on Jubilee. My Wimbledon is too tone and the Oyster bracelet looks awesome with all that gold in the middle.
