is the dial swap worth it? Rolex 116719 GMT white gold
I have it with the black dial. Part of me says let all the original black dial owners swap to blue so mine become more rare over time. The other part of me says swap it to blue because it looks like a stainless steel watch. Would love to hear thoughts on this one! Thanks in advance.

The blue looks incredible, but you have a collectible. Buy another one with the blue!

You gotta do what you wanna do.
I would not pick one just due to it being potentially rarer down the road. Id go with the dial I think looks the best.

Personally I’d leave it black as all the blue dial ones I’ve seen have a slight colour mismatch between the dial and the blue of the bezel. I know it doesn’t seem to bother most owners, but it would me, so I’d leave it black.

I like the black dial better regardless of whether the case is steel or WG.

I did this and never looked back. It differentiates the SS with the WG. Period

I’m not a big blue dial guy anymore but in this case I would rather have the WG version with the blue than the black.
I think this shade of blue is very nunique in the Rolex lineup. I think. Either way, the blue dial would feel more special to me than the black. Especially if you have several other white metal watches with black dials in your collection. Like many of us do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'm seldom in favor of changing parts just because something is the soup-de-jour; that often swings back the other way in time.
Still, if you can get a blue dial and enjoy it for a while, and keep the original, you could have the best of both worlds with only the outlay of a bit of cash.
