Local Atlanta Restaurant gives employees a Rolex

Nice gesture! I remember when several companies would offer a Rolex as a reward. Very few still do. I worked for an employer that offered a Rolex or Cartier to consistent performers. Has anyone on TRF received a Rolex from your company?

Corporate orders are handled out of NYC by RUSA.

At least that's how the Winners Watches are handled for IMSA.

I wondered the same thing. He actually personalizes the watch to the person. Is anyone Daytona worthy?

Super nice gesture.

They were all preowned. Can tell by the boxes.

I love to see things like this. I read that one of major insurance brokerages (don't remember which one) does this for their employees too.

“The company recently held its annual Tenure Party to honor employees who have been with the company for 15 years. Metz described the event as highly emotional, emphasizing that he personally selects each Rolex to suit the recipient. Over the past few years, Metz has gifted 20 Rolex watches, with this year’s recipients including four executive-level employees, a general manager, a sous chef, two line cooks, a banquet server, and one cashier.”

From the article

It’s amazing that he personally selects each Rolex for each recipient. No mention of how he pulls that off in time for the event where they’re all gifted. Crazy.

That's an awesome gesture! It's great to see companies still recognizing their employees like that. I haven't received a Rolex from a company, but it's a fantastic way to reward and motivate staff. Anyone else have a similar experience?

I had an OP34 Hard Rock Cafe that I sold. I think it was for 10 years of service.

Awesome gesture. Too bad not many places have programs like that anymore.

My 1st Rolex, the BLNR was from the heavy civil contractor I use to work for. They would give a Rolex for 10 years of employment.

Not gonna lie, I held on the last 2 years just to get that watch, hahaha.

No. I won a Tag Heuer as an incentive prize in 1999 and it was this watch that got the ball rolling for me. Up until then I would buy a Swatch, throw it away after a couple of years and just buy another one.

"Every watch has a story." Sure rings true in the case of these. Very generous and cool gesture by the owner.

I also just noticed that in the background of the picture in the article, there are Rolex boxes from older eras (70s/80s)...I wonder if he went as far as sourcing vintage pieces depending on the recipient...if so, that is next level thoughtful and cool.

Very cool and generous gift!

I wish my company did that...I'm a few years away from 20 years and won't get anything nearly so nice

On another note, I sat next to the wife of a Delta pilot recently & she noticed my Rolex GMT Pepsi. She said Delta is offering an anniversary Pepsi Tudor with a Delta logo on the dial. Her husband just put in an order for one. Too bad they aren't offering a Rolex.

What a fantastic gesture and great to see an employer appreciating the good work some people do. An incentive like that is a great way for people to achieve more……

I know a musician for an end of tour gift is a Rolex. Opening act main band members all received a watch. The band I know got a Milgauss with the tour engraved on the case back.

That’s so cool.

Coincidentally, I just asked my AD about this.

We have two employees who’ve hit the 10 year mark at my company.

I asked about getting them something special to celebrate and share my love of watches with them.

My AD said it will be hard with Rolex but can easily secure any Cartier.

Seems like this used to be a lot more common.

A big contest in luxury audio retail sales the choice was a pre-owned Rolex or a high-end vinyl LP cleaner. Worked hard, earned winning the contest, and chose the top-line single side Nitty Gritty vinyl LP cleaner. That thing musta cleaned 8000+ vinyl LPs over the years.
