Which Oyster Perpetuals had “Self Winding” on the dial (in addition to “Oyster Perpetual”)?

But SELF-WINDING (in an arc shape of course), is a Tudor term in the main for automatic - versus SHOCK RESISTING for a manual.

I just went to google images and typed rolex bubbleback self winding and found a bunch. However, the "self winding" was generally in an arc, not straight, so this watch is a bit different.

Interesting. I did a google image search and used chatgpt to narrow… plus the text. Not a single match for this dial. Can you post or cite a reference that shows “self winding” ?

As I said, I used google images with the search term rolex bubbleback self winding. You can do it for yourself easily. I've attached a screenshot. My google-fu is only moderately strong.

It would be easier to search if you posted the reference number.

That's a post 53 2940 likely. By that time the text had changed.
There's not a lot of rhyme or reason to the nomenclature on the dials.
It could've said precision. It could have said officially certified chronometer.

The straight text is very normal for the 50s versions.
Very often you see that on say 6298 explorers.
The thing is...if it doesn't say Officially Certified Chronometer, it likely has a movement
that didn't get a cert or in some cases one with less adjustments. I have seen 3 position 630 NA's. Those also won't say Chronometer on the rotor. Sometimes a non certed 6 position watch will get the Chronometer Rotor or...they got changed when they failed.
