CHNR with patina…
I love my new CHNR - much more than I thought I would. For you who have had it for a while - how do patina change its apperance? I read somewhere that the gold has a mixture that will keep it from changing over time.
But with scratches and dings - whats your more long term experience? |

I would say that the copper in the everose gold alloy will oxidise on the surface over time and form a ‘patina’.
The Pt in the Rolex alloy will stabilise the reaction to a degree. More than likely slight oxidation will wipe off as it does on my rose gold Panerai.

So far no trace of any tarnish on mine. With regular use not likely to happen

I've done the same but am getting old and shaky on the ladder. I'll check it tomorrow. If this is my last post, you'll know what happened.

It's literally called (for)EVEROSE ... it wont tarnish or patina. These modern Rolexes are built to last for generations without fading, scratching, or aging if taken care of properly

I have seen pics of the CHNR on the pre owned market that has more red patina on the links in some areas from its previous owner. My guess is it’s a chemical reaction with that persons sweat. My CHNR was pampered and cleaned enough to not see any change. A quick wipe with a yellow sunshine cloth would restore its original Everose hue and remove any patina. As mentioned above, it’s the copper that turn in the Everose mixture with certain ph in ones sweat.
