White gold sub or gmt

For a main watch - dress up and down - which one?

For the 12 series models, i'd go with the GMT. 11 series, Sub.

This picture is just perfection my friend

I know I’ve mentioned it before, but I’ll never forget this time we were taking the high speed train from Rome to Firenze and I sat across the way from a very well dressed Italian man. He had to be Italian … he just ooozed classic, dressed up/down, cool, chicness (whatever the Italian word for chic is … he was it)!

Anyway, poking out from under the sleeve of his beautiful sport coat and cuffed sleeve, was none other than this watch you’re wearing. Man was it ever stunning. He must’ve thought I was a middle aged stalker I just couldn’t take my eyes off his watch.

Thanks Brian! I do remember this story you shared with us and you could not have described it any better for the affect it has and portrays. It really is mesmerizing

I wonder how often those of us living in big cities may actually have clocked a fellow TRFers watch but never knew it...

The 19BLRO is a perfect blend of material, utility and aesthetic appeal for me. It's the one I'm aiming for. The 19LB had a strong appeal when it had the blue dial.

I have owned both and neither would be my answer. No need to pay a premium for the WG in either. SS BLRO on Jubilee is the one followed by either a SS Submariner in black or the new LV. Better yet you can have both for the price of one of the others.

Now that makes perfect sense and a good bit of advice

I too would opt for the Sub black dial in YG over a WG model Sub or GMT unless the GMT has the meteorite dial.

As much as I tried to like the sub, I couldn't. The GMT, however, just keeps on giving me goose bumps every time I put it on.

I’m going thru this consideration now.
My current WG Sub vs the potential Blue dial GMT. Never been a fan of meteorite. The black dial looks like the SS version so never understood the point.

This is strictly personal but the cohesiveness between the bezel and dial of the blue on Sub is hard to beat. Perfect match….no debate of MK 1 vs MK 2 etc

That made it hard to beat the Sub

I have both the WG black dial GMT and the current WG blue bezel sub.
Both are great so you can’t make a wrong decision here.
I’m no help really, other than to say pick one, you’ll love it and you won’t regret it.
