Recent offers from ADs that were passed on
Hello all:
Thought it might be interesting to see what ADs are offering that aren't on your "list." I'm assuming it wouldn't be passed on if it's on your list. It may also show what's not "hot" anymore. I'll start. Since last Friday I passed on the following: yellow gold skydweller on OF, full yellow gold skydweller on jubilee, 42 YM white gold OF, and a platinum 40mm DD non baguette dial. |

Not a Rolex, but passed on a Lange 1 that I loved. If it wasn't for a daughters wedding and two other kids in college, I would've pulled the trigger.

Got 2 calls before I got my sub..was offered rootbeer gmt and then white gold sub.
I held my ground and declined poliltely and told my rep I'll stick to my plain jane sub date. 3 weeks later, she texted me and I picked up my sub date. This was end of last year. |

Why? He said he didn’t like them.
I only buy what I love and want in my collection. I admire people who stick to what they like, and only buy what they love. This then allows someone who really wants that watch the chance of getting the call. |

Was thinking the same. Some nice pieces there! I was offered my TT Wimbledon while visiting, when the customer whose allocation it was turned it down right in front of me. After he left the store, it was offered to me, and I said, “Yes, thanks very much. I’ll take it.” It’s probably my favorite watch. Kat Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

We all have different likes, obviously!
I never buy what I don’t like. Not a fan of two tone, couldn’t use to Sprite, OP looks “too green” if that makes any sense. All in all, just didn’t like them. This was a span of couple of years. Hey, I left them for those who like them. |

I was recently offered a diamond encrusted 40mm day date in everose gold. It was just under $80K. Not at all in my style.

Recently turned down a RG green anniversary dial DD, on my wedding anniversary oddly enough. But as much as I love that watch it was not at the top of my list and I had other more pressing demands on my cash.
Over the last 12 months I have politely declined the following: WG Sub, WG YM, GP Laureatto Absolute 8Tech, YG DD white dial, WG SD on OF.

I do like the WG Yacht Master 42 on Oysterflex, but it's selling for about $6k below retail. If ADs start offering discounts on PM pieces, I might be tempted.

Over the last year… Declined YG two tone GMT, YG full gold GMT. Two tone white Daytona, OF WG Daytona with diamonds, RG OF daytona with diamonds, YG OF Daytona with champagne dial, YG OF Daytona with black dial, at least 4 configurations of PM Skydwellers, multiple PM subs, multiple yachtmaster on OF, explorer 1 36, explorer 1 40, day date onyx, day date platinum 36 and 40, day date chocolate 36, at least 5 configurations of ladies datejust, at least 2 34mm or 36mm OPs. Black DSSD, 43mm sea dweller… what else… |

Over several dealers.
Not a lie. If you’d like any of these pieces, I think I can procure one pretty quickly. There’s over 800 configurations of Rolexes. I’m not shopping for a Rolex, I’m just shopping for like the 20 most hype ones. Will pick up a green sub. |

the last time I was at my AD, they offered me a bottled water.
And guess what? A'yep, you guessed correctly: I politely declined. Wasn't thirsty, so no need for the water. I figured, aw hell, I'll let the next guy have it. |

Huge mistake Omar. Especially if it was the water with the white wrapper instead of the black one. You could have immediately flipped that Rolex water for two Arrowheads and had some change left over to put down on some Evian.
