You can only have 1 vintage Rolex

Would love to know which Rolex model folks would choose if they could only own one vintage piece. As someone who wants to keep their collection very tight, I'm really trying to limit myself to one vintage Rolex and it's a hard one...

I suppose to share first, my contenders are between the 1675, 16520, 1680 and 5512... can't decide which speaks to me the most!

Anyhow, curious to hear what model folks would want to have if they were only able to keep one vintage Rolex in their collection - sentimental stuff aside!

Of those, it would probably be the 5512 for me.

I'd probably go with a 1680 red.

If I could only have one vintage Rolex?

Without a doubt it would be the Rolex GMT Master 6542, i.e, The Pussy Galore.

Give me that bakelite bezel!

I'd definitely keep my 6263 as my only vintage if I had to choose, with my 5512 a close second.

Beautiful watch, but if I can only have one, it's going to be one I'm comfortable wearing every day. That bezel is probably the most fragile and irreplaceable part of any vintage Rolex that I can think of.

My 1979 18078 passed down when my dad passed. He wore all the time bought new never taking it off. No better feeling to wear a passed down watch that your dad loved wearing. I'm thinking it's time to wear it the same way selling my 2 Rolex and Patek and wear my dad's watch as my one and only. Age plays a part as I'm 66yoa.

For me, it's my restored 1914 or 1915 Great War Rolex trench watch with Rebberg 18 jewel Extra Prima movement. It still keeps great time after ~110 years.

Joke's on you, that watch is only 6.5 years old.

In all seriousness, that is one incredible timepiece.
